The Living Machine

Le Corbusier is one of the greatest architects of the 20th century, a pioneer of modernism, a visionary, and a utopian thinker.

As one of the most influential furniture designers of the 20th century, his impact is unquestionable. Functionalism was a central theme throughout his career, influencing many architects and designers who worked with him. In 1925, Le Corbusier stated that, in his dictionary, a house is "a machine for living," interior decoration is "the equipment of the house," and the armchair is "a machine for sitting."

Building on the brand's exploration of modernist style, YEARLY PLAN HOUSE, in collaboration with Maison Wave Gallery, presents rare original works by Bernard Albin Gras, Charlotte Perriand, Jean Prouvé, and George Candilis. This exhibition embodies Le Corbusier's concept of "Machine à habiter" (The Living Machine) and fosters a distinctive design language and aesthetic.
