Artistry in Cuisine

“Heartwarming cuisine makes a house feel more like home.”

In the concept of the modern home, a home is not only a living space but also a reflection of the art of life. LINFORNI GALLERY adheres to a long-term aesthetic vision and curatorial intention, focusing this exhibition on food and vessels. Within the exhibition space, Sichuan ingredients, plants, and daily necessities are presented alongside the works of Japanese craftsman Sugawara Hiroyuki. Between simplicity and modesty, the exhibit subtly advocates a return to essence and an appreciation for daily necessities.

Sugawara Hiroyuki

Rooted in a delicate observation and profound contemplation of daily life, Hiroyuki Sugawara is dedicated to creating simple yet meaningful vessels. Using carefully selected Japanese native woods such as cherry and persimmon, combined with hand-carving techniques, his pieces offer a more comfortable grip. Sugawara Hiroyuki’s designs are minimalist, with no specific patterns, but exude a raw, textured quality. He firmly believes that once food is placed in a vessels the overall creation of table art is completed. Users can immediately feel the harmonious resonance between cuisine and vessel in the purest lines and colors.
